Arrow may have destroyed Lian Yu, but it’s bringing island life to season six in a very different way.
Michael Emerson, of LOST fame, will be recurring during the upcoming season as an unnamed mysterious character, it was announced during Arrow’s San Diego Comic-Con panel on Saturday.
Current speculation would suggest he could portray Cayden James, the founder of Helix, whom we briefly glimpsed upon towards the end of last season. Kacey Rohl, who plays Helix’s Alena, is also set to return.
Emerson won two Primetime Emmy Awards for his portrayal of Benjamin Linus in LOST, and last year wrapped a five-season stint as Harold Finch on Person of Interest.
Marc Guggenheim confirmed during the show’s panel that David Nykl will be returning in season six as Anatoly, saying: “He’s coming back with a literal vengeance.
“By the end of the season, we had Team Arrow 2.0 in a really formidable tightly knit way. We wanted to really double down on this concept of family and found families. Toward that end, we started thinking of a group of villains, something we’ve never done on the show before.”
Below is the sizzle reel shown at the panel. Arrow returns to the United States on October 12 and to the UK later that month.
